About

Enlightened Centrist is an independent site for commentary on politics, culture and the news. The goal is simple: explain what actually happened, show where the facts come from, and be clear about where reporting ends and opinion begins.

It is written and edited by [Your Name], based in West Michigan, and takes no money from political campaigns or advocacy groups.

How we work

Every factual claim links to its source. Claims made by individuals are attributed to them rather than stated as fact. Quotes are kept short and attributed. Charts and illustrations are made in-house, and we don't publish photos we don't have the rights to use. Opinion is labeled as opinion.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to the article explaining what changed.
